darcydodo | More on Father's Day

I'll post about today's museum trip in a minute (although it'll take more like an hour or so to write up, probably, given past experience!), but I thought I'd amuse myself by posting the e-mail I sent to my father today, since apparently he loved it. (I don't know why it is that he complains about me not e-mailing him, and then when I do, my mother writes to tell me that my dad loved the e-mail I sent him. Go figure.)

OK, there was some reason I needed to e-mail you today. It's not your birthday, that was back in April, and we got you that cool little digital camera that you're going to let me use lots in France. Umm... jeez, you know, I can't remember. I'm sure it wasn't anything important. Maybe I wanted to remind you not to put the milk in the microwave. No, probably wasn't that, either, 'cause I'd have more fun laughing at you if you did. It could've been that I wanted to get cross at you for not being home when I called yesterday so that I could tell you all about the Saturday market I went to. Well, whatever it was, I guess I'll just talk to you later, Daddy.
