Tonight
Singing tonight was fun, 'cause it was for a big important Christmas party for KFOG, and there was some really yummy food; but on the other hand, the noise level in the room was so high that we were practically killing ourselves singing, which was less fun. Noteworthy was there, too, which was also a good thing. We each got a free drink ticket, which enabled me to get a manhattan: also a good thing.
Drove
leech home afterwards and watched
mrjonesandme playing various strange versions of Sonic. Realized, though, that I'd lost my scrunchie at some point during the course of the evening, which was a very not good thing. For a start, it means that I only have one scrunchie left, at least that I know where it is. (Currently, that would be in my hair.) But it's also the second scrunchie I've lost in the past year, and I never used to lose them. The first one was a much sadder loss, because it's the one Diane gave me.
I got my Buffy S5 DVDs, which were on the porch when I arrived home, and this is excellent. It's the only season that I've really not seen any of (apart from "Fool for Love," which
girlwithjournal made me watch last year), and although I'm spoiled for the general storyline, the episodes, by and large, I've tried not to look at at all. So this is all very exciting.
Hard Nut stuff starts tomorrow.
I think that's it.

After you left
Oh, and the waiter came around a couple of times and offered us all more free drinks. We tipped him well, and I had a White Russian, and it was actually made with cream, and not milk *gasp*. And that was all right, too, though again, the vodka sort of dominated.
Um. This was supposed to be a 'you should have stuck around a bit longer' post but turned into an 'I'm a lush' post. I'm sorry?
I re-sent the evite.

P.S. My earlier draft of this post spelled the word above as 'resent', which is a lot funnier...
Re: After you left
Very nice, though if I'd had another drink, I don't know what my passengers would've thought. I'd have been fine (well, depending; a white russian would've been fine), but they wouldn't know that.
That's the "classy" way to make a martini. I know approximately 1 bartender who thinks that a manhattan should just have the vermouth sloshed around and dumped, too, but I've told her she's an idiot and never to make my manhattans that way pretty please. ;) My dad's the one in the family who drinks martinis, and he does the low-class thing of actually just having gin and calling it a martini. :) Personally, I hate gin. But I sure like olives! When I was little, I used to make him give me the second olive from his martini (and the only one if he didn't have two).
Waitin' on the e-vite to arrive. :)

Wine being the exception, a heady buzz that arrives after thre first glass...
