I am very, very puzzled, however, by the fact that if you look at your post on my friends page, then the one that you say you like also does _not_ consistently say "mind the gap". (The one I first saw was "merkin"(!). I've also seen "rim".)

That's hilarious. I could fix that (by saving it and linking to the saved image), but given the amusement value of the words that it's apparently choosing....
No, by all means, leave it "as is"; the amusement value is indeed considerable. I just wish I knew why (and how) it was doing it. (It doesn't do this either on your post's page or on your own.) My best guess is that there's something murky about the page style I'm using...but I'm not nearly enough of an HTML god to have even a vague notion as to how that might be happening.
Actually, my guess is that A. did that in order to stop hot-linking, which is even funnier. Except I don't know why it's only showing up on your page specifically.

No, I just did it to your page, and just to have a laugh at your expense. I don't mind my friends hotlinking, though I don't have the bandwidth for it to spread through LJ. I can set it so it's showing people their usernames if you want.
