Having eyes open seems like a ridiculous prospect.... I mean, that's like trying to stare at something from less than an inch away, and you're liable to end up cross-eyed!

I don't really try to focus my gaze, I just tend not to close my eyes. If that makes sense.

It varies for me, to be honest, but I think I mostly have them open so I went for that.

I think it depends on the type of kiss, really. I have a very wide range of kisses I engage in; more casual kisses are more likely to have my eyes open.

I think I'm going to kiss with my eyes closed from now on, because people look weird when they kiss.

I don't care how cute you are, if you're primarily a giant pair of lips and nose with some forehead, ears and eyeballs off in the background somewhere, you look a little ridiculous.

Depends who I'm kissing. My girlfriends before Kat I almost invariably kissed with eyes open. Kat, it depends but usually with eyes closed (I think - I'm certainly not using them even if they are open). Difference between like/attraction and love.

gah, I said closed, but I'm not even sure. it's not like it's a conscious decision. I'm pretty sure closed, but I tend to be a goof, and make a point of peeking. and pecks are definitely eyes opened.

I picked male/eyes closed, but I have to admit, I did kiss a girlfriend with my eyes open a few times, and the visual proof that a beautiful woman was kissing me was almost enough to change my behavior.

But then she started opening her eyes, and the fear/creepyness of cross-eyed eye contact would kick me solidly back into eyes closed mode.
