Parents. Heh.
Dec. 20th, 2003 01:31 pmMy dad's trying to make a webpage for his lab, and it's amazing how incompetent he is. Or, more specifically, how wedded he is to using Word and not just learning HTML, even though he's seeing constant evidence of Word's failures as a webpage designer and the Microsoft Conspiracy. (He also hadn't the faintest clue that the images weren't just embedded in the HTML file; he thought he could transfer a single file and everything would end up online.) I've tried to convince him to hire me as a webpage consultant, but he's resisting. Foolish him. I'll desert him in his darkest hour of need, and then he'll be sorry. ;)
There was a bunch of stuff I wanted to put up on lj, but I've completely forgotten what any of it was, so you will all be spared some of my less coherent rambling, I'm sure. There are a couple of amusing pictures that I'll put up later, but right now, I'm going to get ready for this afternoon's Hard Nut.
Oh, remembered one thing: I've got a new shower-curtain! (OK, no big surprise for
wolfemancs then, when he comes home, but I had to post.) It's got rubber duckies. Aww. I'll take a picture of it, too. :)
