Deborah remembered the singing lesson this week, so I finally got to have a lesson for the first time since summer began. It's horrible, it's like I've forgotten how to do everything, except technically I do still know how. Just my body won't do it. And I'm picking up bad habits from choir again. Why, oh why, are blending and producing a proper tone incompatible?

Still wishing I could've had a lesson last week; it was on Talk Like A Pirate Day, so I would've brought my score of Pirates. (That's Pirates of Penzance, for you PotC-obsessed people.)

I have to recommend here a hilarious fic that I just read. It's a crossover between Discworld and Harry Potter, with a little bit of something else thrown in that will be obvious only a little way in to the story.

The character voices of both halves are done very well, but the style is much more Pratchett than Rowling. Which is a good thing, so who am I to complain?

I may laugh. I may cry. There's a reference to Gilbert and Sullivan in the first episode of this season's Angel. I so hope this is a joke that they keep going throughout the season....
