The Arrow of Apollo was the clue to Earth's location, and currently the "arrow" (viper) of Apollo could be said to be leading the colonists to Earth (although he himself is evidently following Kara)
As far as I can see, you could easily interpret that as Kara being the Arrow of Apollo. An arrow is a weapon you loose ahead of you. He's the leader of the squadron, while she's the best pilot, the one he sends in first and furthest. He's the thinker and tactician while she just goes where she's aimed, which makes him the hunter and her the arrow.
