Re: copyright, we've had this discussion numerous times in various guises; and according to the people who run the site, the images weren't taken offline because of copyright protection, they were taken offline because they redesigned the site.
And if I have his name in the keywords for the icon, how am I not paying him respect? I want to use his artwork because I like it. Anyway, there's no way it says anything like that in the law, so either talk from the legal side of things or talk from the how-things-actually-work side of things; but don't mix them just to start up an old argument or because you're being a patent lawyer's daughter.
