Gather ye memes while ye may
May. 3rd, 2003 04:41 pmI guess I've been coming across various memes lately, some more recent and some older. So I thought I'd do a quiz/meme post.
First off: Elfquest. Yeah, I used to love Elfquest comics; I guess I still would if Richard and Wendy Pini had kept doing the stories and drawings, but most of the artists that followed after them really sucked. I still liked some of the new storylines when I stopped reading them, but it was getting expensive, too. So anyway:

You are Savah; the ancient one!
Which ElfQuest Character Are You? (FEMALE)

Next, from
girlwithjournal, Willow-shippers of the world unite. Except for that, apart from its theme, the quiz results suck (see below the quiz for more):

Giles: While he helped you get over that whole
"ending the world" thing, you began
to realize how sexy he looked on a horse.

So very much not the case. And the other answer I kept getting was Willow/Xander, which also so isn't the case. It's Willow/Tara all the way, baby, with a little helping of Willow/Oz. On the other hand, I finally figured out some answers that do work for me, but just weren't my immediate choices, that lead to Willow/Tara. I still think the quiz is very very confused. Because Willow and Giles? Really not of the shippiness factor.
OK, and then, from
ladycat and
girlwithjournal, we have the music meme:
1. Name one song you hate to admit you like.
a. Nothing that I can think of, but I've been ragged for liking Suzanne Vega's "Tom's Diner."
2. Name two songs that always make you cry.
a. Simon and Garfunkel, "For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her"
b. David Ball(?), "Riding With Private Malone" (OK, this should probably go under number 1, too, seeing as how it's country music)
The first one doesn't actually make me cry, particularly, to be honest. There may be songs I'm not thinking of, though.
3. Name three songs that turn you on.
a. The theme from The Piano
b. OMWF - "I'm under your spell"
c. Indigo Girls, "Blood and Fire"
4. Name four songs that always make you feel good.
a. Simon and Garfunkel, "Cloudy"
b. Manhattan Transfer, "Java Jive"
c. Fool's Garden, "Lemon Tree"
d. Tori Amos, "Mr. Zebra"
5. Name five songs you couldn't ever do without.
Mostly for reasons of nostalgia:
a. Simon and Garfunkel, "Cloudy" (yes, I know that's a repeat)
b. Joan Baez, "Diamonds and Rust"
c. Indigo Girls, "Closer to Fine"
d. Fleetwood Mac, "Landslide"
e. Sam Hinton - "Nut tree"
So that's that; I'm sure I'll find some more memic things to post soon. It always works like that. :)
