Icon overload
May. 5th, 2003 12:01 amSo I made the first icon for a songset that I'm thinking about, but the problem is it's far far too large to use as an lj icon. But I'm proud of it, so I thought I'd post it anyway, while I ponder ways to make it smaller:

The song, in case anyone's curious, is "Disappear," by Mrs. God, which I can guarantee that none of you will ever have heard of unless I've actually played the song for you. Here are the full lyrics:
We fell, I was thinking
"Is this rising, is this sinking?"
Felt just like laundry in a windstorm
Closer and closer yet, not a touch do I regret
hadn't been so safe since I was born.
But then, the terrible day
when the magic slips away
and it's oh so true, what I do is disappear.
Talk tough. Give it a rest--
that's one threat I wouldn't test
Let's just play strangers 'till the morning
Your voice moved right through me,
just when you thought you knew me
There's no surprises, only warnings.
We fight and only then can you say
you knew me when
So maybe it's a haunted lullabye
That sounds like love to me
I know I hear it when you start to cry
but I didn't know that the ghost was me--
tell me what you see
In love all is fair, especially when I'm not there
In other news, my parents changed my tickets for when I'm leaving Berkeley, so I'll be around for a few days after my birthday (and will get to go hear James Marsters' band with
