That's OK, once I knew that Jet's birthday party was then, I was aware that neither of you could make it. She just shouldn't have been born on May Day, what can I say?!

i suspect her perspective on it differes somewhat from ours, though. i mean, it is her birthday, after all. it must be difficult to remain objective about it.
i mean, it's easier when you know you've got the same birthday as kevin costner (jan. 18!) to know that perhaps you ought to have been born on the 17th or the 19th, or something.

Yeah, that must be hard to accept. I, by contrast, know that I was born on the right day, since I share a birthday with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Clearly what needs to happen is that we need to turn Jet into a May Pole for her birthday. Yup. Got any long ribbons?

actually, i also share a birthday with a.a. milne. :)

that's an idea. i don't know if we would be able to get her to hold still long enough to turn her into one, though.

My birthday rocks:
It's a publc holiday in most of Europe, either for labour day or as part of a Queen's day long weekend (NE).
It's easy for people to remember.
It's the opposite of my aunt's birthday (she's 5/1 and I'm 1/5 - or the other way around for the americans).
It's the same day as a very good friend of mine from high school.
And because it's mine. :P
