I did finally get Angel season 3, but I haven't watched it yet, so you might still get that wish, seeing as how you'll be up in Berkeley next year.

Ah... I'm afraid we already had plans to go to a potluck soup night (I know you'll be shocked that I'm bringing bread). It'll be fun, but it means missing Paul's BBQ, and seeing Andrea before she vanishes again. *sigh* I hate missing things. Have fun though. :)

I don't have any specific plans. I'd just like to hang out with you in real space rather than IM, really. Probably it would involve things like you reminding me that I'm not actually vegetarian, and therefore subsequently drinking some green or black tea. And lots and lots of conversation.

In a more specific I'm making plans to come to Oxford and see you next month, oh yes! If you're going to be around on Saturday New A is planning a picnic lunch. blackherring is still sorting out accommodation, but with any luck should be around. And I've promised lethargic_man to take him to the Pink Giraffe, so you could very well join us for that. Maybe punting should happen, given Oxford in summer? *bounces in anticipation*

Yes, but. We eat in du Liban every single time we're in Oxford! Maybe we need some change, and variety, and stuff! And anyway, if I have lamb there, I will not be able to eat the yummy spinach and cheese pastries, and will get generally stressed about food that might be milky.

This is true. OK, then, just chicken. And I agree that we may eat at du Liban somewhat too often, but you need to find another place with halal meat, then, or it will be something of an impossibility to remind you that you're not actually vegetarian.

There are many fountains in Rome, but no sea, and too many essays to go out to Lido di Ostia. Polynesian seas sound very nice at the moment.

well, next time I'm in Berkeley - pending a change of regime in the US, and permanent residence application in Canada which I will be making soon and then have to stay in the country untiul it is processed - remind me and you'll be welcome to take advantage of me in this matter. I should like to walk around Oxford with you and have you point out all the little haunts you enjoyed during your undergrad days. Then I could get to know it from a student's perspective, a resident's perspective, and not just that of someone being dragged round by her parents every other summer.
