Good and bad
Dec. 5th, 2003 06:37 pmSo the good side of things: I "finished" my papyrology edition (read: I made sure all the sentences were complete and coherent enough that it could be handed in) by 5pm, when it had to be handed it.
The bad side of things: I hate the 40L bus driver who wouldn't open the door for me despite the fact that he knew he was just past the only stop for three blocks, and he was at a red light. I'd been prevented from catching the bus at my usual stop by a different red light, so I ran the next four blocks, missing the bus at each of the bus stops, until I actually caught up to it at the end there; and then he wouldn't stop. So I tried running the next three blocks, but I couldn't, 'cause I could barely breathe. Maybe if I'd not had my computer in my backpack and had on my tennis shoes and not been carrying my jacket or scarf, I could have caught up to it earlier and so been spared the pointless travail. But he made me so mad by not opening the door. Grr.
