I now have my tape of four Frances stories on CD. Which is actually impossible to buy anywhere—even now, they've never put it on CD, though apparently the tape is still obtainable. And it's a pretty decent recording, too, with fairly minimal hiss. Slight problems, such as a ten second pause between the second and third stories, but... generally, I'm very pleased. And it plays on my Brand New Stereo, and everything.

Incidentally, for those of you with children or who are planning to one day have children, or even read to young children: you should know about the Frances stories by Russell Hoban. I feel very sorry for you if you didn't grow up with them, but they're as classic and necessary as things like Goodnight, Moon and Runaway Bunny. Though for a slightly older age, too, and... well... I still adore them, which perhaps may not actually say anything much about their accessibility by older generations. :) And badgers are just the best animal-characters with which to illustrate a story, don't you think?
