Grr. I hate when what I'm typing is deleted randomly. Anyway:
The barbeque yesterday wasn't a proper BBQ either. It was more like a 'come queue up and get your free hamburger' party, with 1-euro beers on the side. On reflection, the last proper BBQ I was at was
elemy's end-of-year BBQ last year, which, being in England, got rained on. And then degenerated into a chocolate fondue party. :)
Random fact learned this morning (from my Let's Go Paris guide): the color puce was originally invented to hide the fact that there were fleas crawling all over Versailles.
Damn it, I know there were other things I thought of this morning and thought 'gee, I should put those in my journal.' That's the whole reason I got a livejournal, was so that I could set down the random things that float around my head and then go poof and disappear. Only, when you have to go shower and get dressed and whatnot before going down to the computer room, thoughts have a tendency to escape first.
ETA: Not that anyone's ever going to see this, but I remembered something I wanted to comment on! I realized that during the course of the evening, I said 'I hear you' way more than I ever have done before. I'm convinced that this is the fault of
sschmitt. So grr to her. :)
