I spent nearly all of today on my feet, at Candlestick Park, serving food and drinks at a concession stand. Good news: we made a decent bit of money, we think; I got to see a bit of the game, which hopefully will qualify me for Thanksgiving turkey; and the 49ers won. Bad news: I tried, and tried, and tried, and I still can't pour a beer. It might've been the tap, 'cause it was a tricky one. But I think it was mostly just me.

I was dozing on BART on the way back, thanks to my 3 hours of sleep last night, and the brief flashes of dreams that I had were all about pouring sodas. This cannot be healthy.

Went to [livejournal.com profile] girlwithjournal's to watch "Alias," and I re-met [livejournal.com profile] inkbot. Girl has bleached the front streaks of her hair, in Rogue-like fashion. It's pretty cool.

I also drabbled, after much agonizing and an unhelpful computer crash. (Buffy followers, be aware of an Angel 5.2 spoiler.) And, in the vein of last week, here, too, is an old drabble of mine that perfectly fits the week's theme of "photo album and/or snapshots".

Oh, the turkey comment? My mom told me that if I don't see a football game this year, I'm not getting any Thanksgiving turkey. She might have even been serious.

It took me a while to figure out how to pour a good beer from those taps. You have to tilt the cup as much as possible, hold the tap directly against the side of the cup, and open it all the way. As the beer reaches the top and you need to untilt, do so gradually, keeping the end of the tap under the surface if possible. After doing this for a while, I got no foam at all.
