This first part will probably only make sense to

mciac, but Kathy was actually nice to me today, when I went to talk to her about my Telebears appointment. Asked me how things were going, etc. Maybe she was just PMSing before, or something....

Anyway, in other news, I ran into a guy from my high school class (he was there for the last three or so years); oddly enough, he's someone that I think about every so often. I remember him every time I think about guns, 'cause at one point he shot himself in the foot. :)

Mass mind control. I bet Mark smiled at Moe today, too. It's really a sign that they're going to eat you, or worse, put a mark n your academic record.

Well, I was going to say, yes, but she also offered to be my advisor if I wanted... but then I remembered that I'm pretty sure Mark is Moe's advisor? So no proof there. ;)

Well, maybe the offer of advising is because William Fitzgerald is leaving, and that leaves Nelly, and no one wants Nelly other than Curtis.

Or maybe her like for me is rubbing off on you...though I was fairly certain that it was the reverse.

Actually, if I knew Nelly, I might not mind having her as an advisor... but I've only met her a few times at get-together-thingies. And Kathy wants me to have someone I've had a class with. So it's between her, Anthony Bulloch, Mark, and Tony Long... and definitely scrap that last one, because there's no way I'm having Tony as my advisor. AB is a great guy, but I'm really not sure about having him in charge of my graduate career, at least for the next few years. :) Mark... is... well, he's Mark. I like him, and maybe he'd be OK.

I do hope that associating with me isn't having an adverse affect on your relations with Kathy! That would just be silly. Much better if it's the other way around. :)

Well, I used to have an independent study with her, so we saw each other all the time. Now, not so much. I kinda feel bad, but then not really.

BUT she does seem much friendlier when I'm alone vs. with you. Not sure why. Much more fun if we imagine this in terms of hatred and nemeses. Like Bill used to do when we were at the gym (his nemeses were Yelena & Dylan & Walter). Much more comic book-ish, if you know what I mean.

I can't really imagine Yelena being anyone's nemesis. Walter, on the other hand... (though I don't know him very well, so I should be nice.) And Dylan's just too intelligent for anyone's good. :)
