Ambiguous signals. Does he like me? Hope not, that would cause complications, and it would probably confirm my opinion that only physicists/mathematicians (but perhaps all of that category, if only on the masculine side) are attracted to me. But dinner was fun, though incredibly filling. And Mondo Gelato is a Good Thing.

Questions raised:

what was Hua Hin before it was Hua Hin? One suggestion mooted: a garage. Strange-shaped room.
why do we feel so old upon looking at the M:tG timeline and discovering that the first editions were back in 1993?
what would go in ditchdigger ice cream? (Only ditchdiggers if by analogy with country paté)

And my own question:
Why do I stay up so stupidly late when I know I have to get up early tomorrow and have been lacking in sleep anyway?

Hmm. Wasn't counting you. ;) Anyway, maybe this is a post-breakup phenomenon. :)

M:tG = Magic: the Gathering. I used to play back in 1993; AJ's housemate still plays. I was boggling at the vast number of extra things that have been added since I played and was being glad that I stopped playing when I did (having wasted enough money on it). This is my dislike of Wizards of the Coast....

My experience with ambiguous signals is that they aren't ambiguous at all, you're just praying that you're misreading them. Did I ever tell you about my "date" with my old roommate Jeremy. He tricked me (and yes, tricked is the right word for it) into having coffee with him, claiming that he wanted me to help him with his MA thesis proposal. Suddenly, there were no coffee shops around so he suggested dinner and before I knew it I was having dinner with him. Never was a date from my perspective and I was mighty pissed about the whole thing, given that in reality he had no intention of talking about said MA thesis proposal. Ugh. The only thing worse than a pseudo date is a pseudo date that you weren't even invited to go on.

So. Are you going to tell us about this Tuesday? Maybe Anna will sing for you!

Late nights are good for you, it's scientifically proven. Or at least, if it's not right now, it ought to be. Otherwise why do so many people stay up so late, huh? Anyway, it's all a question of time zones.

Honey, what's wrong with mathematicians/physicists? As a social group they have _extremely_ good taste (well they must do if they like you...). As well as being so witty, charming, attractive, intellegent and generally desirable ;-)
Realise I can't actually defend this point of view without sounding (a) incredibly arrogant and (b) incredibly wrong so I'll shut up.
Glad I've found your live journal, anyway - it's cool to hear how you're doing. Don't worry yourself too much about mathmos who don't have the social awareness to be unambiguous - they'll work it out eventually, and if they don't it's their loss

Well, if you're not ridiculously attractive, how do you explain the fact that so many people keep falling for you, hmm? (OK, maybe they are indifferent to your appearance but I doubt it.) And it's not just mathmos, you're just being unscientific and ignoring all the examples that don't fit your theory.
