It is indeed the BBC version of "Neverwhere." Personally, I like it even better than the book, but as the author himself has made clear that he wouldn't agree with me, I occasionally pretend like I don't actually think this. :) Then again, I did see it first.
The Marquis and Mssrs. Vandemar and Croup (especially Mr. Vandemar) are so very fantastic in the BBC version, though, that I can't help but love it.
The one problem with the BBC version is that the Beast looks like a large yak. So, not very scary. But that's BBC budget special effects for you. :)
