According to her, BtVS looks like a typical horrible American soap opera. I've tried to convince her of the error of her ways, but I think any real proof would entail me sitting her down in front of the first season DVD and making her watch it, which isn't likely to happen in the foreseeable future. *sigh*
(I ask you, how can it be even remotely like a typical American soap if it provides such scenes as the one on my icon??)
According to her, BtVS looks like a typical horrible American soap opera I don't think that's entirely what I said, you know. Not content with blowing my cover you have to make a fool of me in front of all your Buffy obsessed friends. Huh.
I obviously don't know what's going on in either of your Buffy-derived icons, but don't expect me to like Buffy purely on the grounds that it has lesbians in it!
I can think of several friends who would be only too willing to help you corrupt me into Buffy (half the durps crowd, for a start). For the time being I'll continue enjoying it second-hand chez Naomi-Chana (http://www.baraita.net/blog).
Anyway, I was not remotely referring to the lesbian content of the scene. (Bloody one-track-minded...) I was talking about the GREEK. The QUOTATION of SAPPHO. :P
I fail to see how a quotation from Sappho qualifies as anything other than lesbian content, regardless of how many tracks your mind has!
How annoying that the picture isn't visible to you; I checked it very carefully and it seems absolutely fine :-( You are possibly right that I need to find somewhere to host it that isn't yahoo.
Anyway, talking of willpower, I really shouldn't be awake by now, and anyway, this is a stupid way of approximating real-time communication, no? I thought E and I between us had corrupted you into instant messengers!
