Not that it'll do much good, probably, but on the optimistic front, there's a petition to keep BART running until 3am. Sign it. You never know, it could have some effect:

I signed it and just for fun, clicked the next link. my "princeton 08544" looks extremely sad in the middle of all those berkeley, oakland, san francisco, walnut creek and san jose addresses!
