Curse the rain.
Dec. 23rd, 2003 11:34 amI'm supposed to go caroling with some people from P5 today (Arjun, Sabrina, Lily, and Joey). However, everything seems to be conspiring to thwart our plans; we're still going to go, of course.
For a start, it's raining. Now how polite of the weather is that? Soggy skies and damp shoppers do not equate to Christmas cheer.
Secondly, Santa Monica permit laws are really idiotic. In order to sing on the Promenade or the Pier, you need a permit. Fine. This is the case even if you're not collecting money, but oh well. However, you can't get a one-day permit. You can only get a year-long permit, and the price is obviously prohibitive if you're only planning to use it for one day. On the other hand, in order to sing on a street corner, you don't need anything, so long as you're not blocking a thoroughfare. Can't collect money on a street corner, though. That's OK; we didn't really want to collect money in the first place, though it would've been a bonus. I mean, we do sound good, and I think people would've given us money.

Dec. 23rd, 2003 11:50 amI made the following icon for
livredor, but she requested it to be somewhat different, so I thought I'd display my original one here for amusement value:
