I have inherited my family's utter inability ever to send out any sorts of cards. Thank you cards, get well cards, Christmas cards. Occasionally I'll write them... but they still end up littered across the bottom of a drawer after New Year comes and goes, and that's another year come and gone without overcoming my genes. I think I might have even got as far as stamping them once, but they still never made it to the mailbox. But it always makes me happy to receive Christmas cards so each year I feel more and more guilty as I fail yet again to raise other people's Christmas spirits.

So here's a Christmas card query, with the caveat that, while this is meant to be a motivational exercise in defeating the expression of my genes, it may well not succeed, in which case I'm afraid you won't get your Christmas card.

I totally failed to inherit my family's abilty to send cards, keep track of those received, complete with index card box of addresses, distilled news, etc. Like you, they sometimes get written and not mailed. This seems to be true of all cards, except thank you cards.

Wow that must be a ressessive gene in my family - but dominant in me sinceI never seem to send out any cards. Even good old fashioned letters are a challange - well unless I recieved one and then I rush to write back the minute I get it. Thank the heavens for e-mail.

Note: I wouldn't mind a Christmas-Christmas card, but I checked the second box because I'm, well, Jewish.

Note the second: the above is my address through, like, mid-January. Then I'm moving out of the dorms.

No, but I'm graduating and moving out of the dorms. We plan on getting married in April.

I've been intending to start sending out anti-Christmas cards for the last... oh... 6 years. They would be sent out to arrive around June 25th, and, ideally, would be the most subversive christmas cards that I was able to find during the previous holiday season.

But I keep failing to do it.

Not only do I not have all my friends' mailing addresses, but I also never stumble upon sufficiently subversive christmas cards. Perhaps I should alter my scheme, and get the most sickening, religious, annoying Christmas cards I can find to send out for anti-Christmas. Then they can contain a note saying something along the lines of "Hallelujah! Aren't you glad it's not Christmas?"

Was actually voting for the general concept of a Christmas card rather than actually requiring one as such....would be very exciting to receive one though - up to you.

Will post my address in a locked post in my LJ shortly for anyone who wants it, so will leave it up to you....

I don't have an address for you either, so if you would like a card from me could you reply with a comment with your address?!?

HAPPY CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR
