Seasonal motivation
Dec. 13th, 2004 10:11 amI have inherited my family's utter inability ever to send out any sorts of cards. Thank you cards, get well cards, Christmas cards. Occasionally I'll write them... but they still end up littered across the bottom of a drawer after New Year comes and goes, and that's another year come and gone without overcoming my genes. I think I might have even got as far as stamping them once, but they still never made it to the mailbox. But it always makes me happy to receive Christmas cards so each year I feel more and more guilty as I fail yet again to raise other people's Christmas spirits.
So here's a Christmas card query, with the caveat that, while this is meant to be a motivational exercise in defeating the expression of my genes, it may well not succeed, in which case I'm afraid you won't get your Christmas card.

Not only do I not have all my friends' mailing addresses, but I also never stumble upon sufficiently subversive christmas cards. Perhaps I should alter my scheme, and get the most sickening, religious, annoying Christmas cards I can find to send out for anti-Christmas. Then they can contain a note saying something along the lines of "Hallelujah! Aren't you glad it's not Christmas?"
