Four hours a day of French is stressful. I also had a nasty headache yesterday and took my medicine for it, which of course resulted in me being sleepy. During class. I sort of periodically dozed for the last half hour or so (which seemed to stretch on interminably). I had warned the teacher that this could happen, though, so hopefully she wasn't too offended.

I saw "The Secretary" the other night; it's a very good film, and people should watch it if they don't mind having to see a bit of S&M in exchange for excellent acting and cinematography. I had wanted to see it in the States, but it left the theaters before I got a chance. So I was very happy to see that it was going to show up here. "The Matrix Reloaded" is also arriving soon, on the 16th, and since I didn't get a chance to see it at home, either, I plan to see it here. There's at least one theater near me that has it in the original version (i.e., not dubbed into French). Despite its mixed reviews, there's no way I'm not going to see it, given that I had to miss out on a number of interesting conversations because of this omission.

The annoyance of the strike is getting worse, because the RER B line (which I take for the first leg of my journey) is now running at about 44%, rather than the 80-odd% of the first day. However, I can walk about 10 minutes and get to Porte d'Orleans, which is the southernmost stop of the line that I would then switch to. So there's that gamble... might an RER train come in those ten minutes that I'm walking? And how long would I then have to wait for a train at Porte d'Orleans, anyway?

ETA: I had a strange dream last night that was about roleplaying with [livejournal.com profile] leech and [livejournal.com profile] grimhild but also somehow included Spike and Dru. Or possibly James Marsters and Juliet Landau playing Spike and Dru, because I'm not sure if it was the characters or the actors in those roles. And Dru was being a tree. And I got told (I think by [livejournal.com profile] grimhild) that I couldn't act, but I already know this, so I couldn't figure out why I was being told it in such an accusatory tone.

Ooh, I want to be Dru! (actually, having only seen a few episodes, perhaps I should think carefully about that)

Now, now. Dru's not insane, she's just... Differently connected to reality. That's it. It's not *her* fault that the stars sing to her (it might well be Angel's, but thats another issue entirely).

P.S. What exactly is your "Ghost" picture of, Darcy?

Much to my embarrassment, I have spent entirely too much time as an insane vampire. Being eerie is no problem either. I've never attempted to specifically play a seductive character, but it could be entertaining.

P.S. The reason for that last bit is that players who don't know you OOC tend to make assumptions connecting IC and OOC behavior. And in the case of guys who attempt to play seductive characters, these assumptions are often correct.

You're not allowed to be Dru. Dru gets to have sex with Spike. Only I'm allowed to do that. *eg*

I never remember my dreams. It's most annoying because I'm sure they'd be entertaining. Although every now and again I remember getting an email, but it seems vague and I think 'Now, was I checking my email in reality, or was it a dream when I got that?'.
I blame Radio 5Live, for waking me up every morning, although this can also create some interesting dreams as I snooze through most of them.

I bet I could be a better Dru. I'd probably do even better getting to make my own mad vampire up though.

I'm not sure which would be the most fun to try to be: Dru, the Willow from Dopelgangerland or teh Willow from last week (and this week to a lesser extent) (BBC have just shown the S6 Finale). Don't think that I could remotely look like any of them.

Bored now.

S7 is on Sky not BBC IIRC. Want to see Kennedy.

As for grief, you miss what she actually was (before Giles' Trojan Horse)- she actually wasn't feeling anything at all, which at times feels very good (particularly when there is excessive grief to contend with)- although it really, really isn't. Fun is probably the wrong term for it anyway.

The emptiness (if she was where I think she was) feels anything but bad *at the time*. The grief she picked up from Giles shocked her out of that state amongst other things.

Hmm.... Shouldn't try teasing someone on their own journal. Particularly not someone with a track record involving violence. The deleted comment was just one complaining that S7 will be shown on BBC 3, meaning that I can't see it as I have terrestrial not digital.

Hey! That's a myth. (Or if it isn't, no one ever told *me* about it, which would have been useful)

You say this as if these were not all virtues..

I'm with [livejournal.com profile] darcydodo on this one. Watching people hurt eachother is unpleasant. The fact that it's in the context of sex only makes it slightly less unpleasant. Obviously, in a moral sense there's all the difference in the world between torture and bdsm; in terms of images that I don't want in my head, though...
