First day back - one down, far too many to go

German was fun. We've got a great teacher, I think he said he was from Munich. He must be a grad student, 'cause it's his first time teaching, but I think he'll do fine.

I ran into jour_pluvieux; it took me a second to recognize her because she's gone blonde. I also ran into Shay, who was in the elevator when I got in it this morning, and two of the new graduate students, David and Elias. At lunch I met Justin's new housemate, Kristen; she seems perfectly nice. She may yet turn into another Corinne, though, for all I know, given that she is from Vermont. ;) FSM is evil and took over half an hour to make me a tomato salad. Grr.

My cold is being highly annoying. I'm hoping that I have enough voice to sing on Wednesday, as if I tried to sing right now it would be far more than painful, and certainly damaging.

I opened a German textbook today - one that I bought, oh, five years ago? (Yeah, it was five years ago...sigh.)

Exactly. Other people I've known from Vermont have been a bit weird, too. In the whole initially-really-nice-then-turn-into-mortal-enemies kind of way.

There's also the fact that I did go to camp there and would be immensely sorry to see Killooleet go. And B&J is a major plus, yes. (Mm, memories of fresh cookie dough ice cream...) Even if they do seem to have disappeared Coffee Heath Bar Crunch off the face of the planet. *sigh*
