Darcy, a rumor at the Classics department has it that Kathy McCarthy is going to teach elegy here at Princeton in the spring. Affirmative? We are apparently lending you Feeney: a man who currently makes a handful first- and second-years read one hundred pages of Latin per week for one class.
I do believe that a coincidental swap is happening in the spring. Feeney's the Sather lecturer, and Kathy's going to be on sabbatical, and I had heard that she would be at Princeton. So, yes.
I'll be taking Feeney's seminar... now I'm scared. :)
From what I know, Feeney is a delightful, laid-back kind of guy. I haven't taken classes with him but everyone I know who has just loves him. The work load might be demanding, but I have a feeling he makes it seem not so. And it's not like it would be Caesar or anything, right? :)
I am saying that in advance as a means of propitiating the Pandora gods (goddesses?). Thanks so much. Just to be sure, I need *flum* to get the inflected forms as well (but I'm sure you knew that!).
Thank you SO MUCH. I'm buying at the APA :) I can't believe that (a) I still can't see anything on my screen and (b) my Windows search program won't let me save the search.

Ask away, if Pandora baffles you, btw.
