Three episodes of my sitcom. And I'd like to point out to the world at large (or at least those who read my journal) that ladycat is being played by Nicky Brendan. We should've known there was something there!

We vagued around a bit this morning, which largely consisted of elemy reading The Princess Bride (I lent it to her last night). Found out that John P. couldn't make it over to Berkeley today, so we'll be seeing him Friday. This is just as good, since we will get to see him. *cheers*

Went to the Cheese Board's pizza half for lunch. They were selling whole roast garlics, which is never anything except for a Very Good Thing. We ate on the center divider, and suddenly whom should I see but Sky...! I knew he was in Berkeley, but this is no guarantee that I'll ever run into a person. So we caught up a bit, and I had to break the news about Will Zuckerman, which was a less than pleasant thing to do (probably everyone knew Will to some extent), and he said he'd burn me copies of Raya's CDs that he has, since I never managed to get copies. Dilemma: do you buy the $10-$15 CDs that your high school friends have produced, when you like going to hear their concerts but think that you would never listen to the CDs?

Following lunch, we drove up to Tilden Park and wandered around the botanical garden for a bit (but not nearly all of it, it's quite large and we hadn't intended to see it at all), then we headed off on foot to try and get to Lake Anza, "try" being operative since I hadn't the faintest clue how to get there. The first path we took ended up being less of a trail and more of a... non-trail... or, more to the point, a poison oak infested non-trail. Since I don't want to test my "immunity" any more than I have to, and I really didn't want elemy to get a poison oak rash, we eventually turned around. Then we found the real trail, so that was okay, and we went swimming for a bit and then lay on the grass for the rest of the afternoon.

We had dinner at Shen Hua, ordered way too much, and discovered that they've changed their fortune cookie supplier, and the fortunes are now incredibly crap. But the food was as good as always, so no complaints. Tomorrow we're going up to Sonoma for wine-tasting, so my fingers are crossed that I can actually get us there. This remains to be seen.

Apparently it was drabble, not sleep. Having fed my muse just enough to keep her slender, will now go sleep.
