Sep. 18th, 2003 01:27 pmI just went and listened to DeCadence singing on Sproul, and I have a few thoughts about their group. Yes, it's true that a lot of the people are new, but that doesn't excuse the quietness of their singing. They have ten or twelve people, and yet they're quieter than any of the eight-person groups that sing on Sproul. And you could say "well, they're not sure of the notes yet," but the returning members were some of the quietest.
tzeentch's friend Erin has a very good voice, but little technique; this goes for most the people, actually, and I think is the main reason for their volume problem. And maybe I'm spoiled because of
leech, but why do they need to use four of their six men on percussion?
On the other hand, if they can just get louder, they'll be really really good. So... fingers crossed. I'll probably still go listen to them most Thursdays. They have silly choreography, though. :)
